Wagga Wagga Basketball Association (WWBA) invites nominations from eligible members for election to the Board of Directors.

Up to six (6) Director positions are available for election at the 2026 Annual General Meeting.

📅 Date of Election: Thursday, 29 October 2026 (at the AGM)

📍 Location: PCYC

Positions Available

The positions available arise from three (3) existing vacant Director positions and three (3) Director positions where the current two-year terms expire at the 2026 AGM. The current portfolio responsibilities associated with those expiring Director terms are:

• President;

• Junior Competition; and

• Communications.

Directors whose terms expire at the AGM are eligible to nominate for election for a further term, subject to the WWBA Constitution.

WWBA is seeking nominations from members with a broad range of skills, experience and perspectives to support the governance and continued development of the Association. In particular, the Board has a vacant Treasurer position.

Members nominate for election as a Director of WWBA, rather than for a specific portfolio or office bearer position. Specific office bearer and portfolio responsibilities, including President and Treasurer, are determined by the Board following the AGM.

Where the number of nominations is equal to or fewer than the number of available positions, nominees must be approved by a majority of eligible members present at the AGM. Where the number of nominations exceeds the number of available positions, an election will be conducted at the AGM in accordance with the WWBA Constitution.

Nomination Requirements

In accordance with Clause 15 of the WWBA Constitution:

• Nominations must be submitted in writing using the official nomination form.

• Nominations must be signed by two (2) current Individual Members of WWBA.

• The nominee must also be a current Individual Member and consent to the nomination.

• Completed nomination forms must be received by 5:00pm on Monday, 19 October 2026.
